Greg Flippen and Yavapai Exterminating has focused on Prescott area trees since 1977.  With the addition of Joe Weightman we have maintained a family tradition of passing skills and local knowledge to yet another generation.

As a certified arborist with the International Society of Arboriculture, as well as a licensed applicator for remedial applications with the state of Arizona, Greg is positioned to approach your trees from multiple perspectives.

Yavapai Exterminating is a family owned business and Greg is a second generation Prescott operator of a pest control company, and now as mentioned we have a 3rd generation added to local service! Greg began working in the family business of Flippen Pest Control in 1977 after 3 years in the Navy.  As of 2014 this makes 37 years in the business!

Having lived in Prescott since 1967, Greg has seen much devastation to the local Pinon Pine population due to pinon pine scale.  One of his earliest devotions to arborism was to focus on this problem as well as other issues native trees suffer from.

Greg and his wife Nancy raised 2 kids locally and have 4 grandchildren between 4 months and 7 years old!  Our son is an engineer at Ruger and our daughter is a nurse at the Pioneer home, with our daughter in law a Dr of physical therapy and our son in law a vital part of this company.  We are all local and truly love our Prescott and vicinities surrounding us.

Greg is licensed with the state of Arizona for the application of remedial pesticidesGreg specializes in custom mixes which are specifically designed to address the plant and the issues they are suffering from.  When combining his applicator licenses with his knowledge of tree and plant physiology, diseases, insects and local nutritional requirements, he is a good choice for attending your valuable landscapes.

Associations Greg is affiliated with are The Society of Commercial Arborists, Arizona Community Tree Council, The Society of Municipal Arborists, Rocky Mountain ISA, West Coast ISA and the ISA, which is the International Society of Arboriculture.
